Rust wipe schedule
Every public server wipes at the monthly force wipe, and most wipe again on a schedule of their own. This page measures what servers actually did rather than what they advertise: the countdown to the next force wipe, a week-by-hour heatmap, and the busiest day and hour in the sample. Across 37,544 recorded wipes this year, Thursday is the busiest wipe day.
The reaction rate: wipes per hour of the day
Conclusion The busiest hour, 18:00 UTC, holds 12% of all wipes and the next, 17:00, 10%; an even spread would put about 4% in each hour. Thursday is the busiest day, with 31% of the week's wipes.

When do Rust servers wipe?
All servers wipe at force wipe, the first Thursday of every month at 19:00 UK time, timed to the game update. Between those, each server picks its own day and hour, and the heatmap above shows the pattern the recorded wipes actually follow. Check a server's page for its individual schedule.
Do more players join on a Thursday wipe?
You can test it against live counts: note the player count on a server just after its wipe and compare it with the same server's average over the preceding days. Our heatmap shows which days and hours are busiest in the sample, so you can pick a start time that suits your group. The data shows a pattern, not a promise for any single server.
What is the difference between a map wipe and a blueprint wipe?
A map wipe generates a fresh world, so bases and loot are gone. A blueprint wipe also clears learned crafting, which most servers hold back for force wipe or skip entirely. The server description says which one applies, and the next wipe time on its page tells you when.
