Rust build and creative servers

A build server is not a main server. Resources are usually free, building is instant, and many give you noclip or god mode to check a base from any angle. That makes them useful for testing a footprint before a wipe, but it also means the player count tells you something different: people drop in to work on a design, not to live on the map.

The Last wipe column matters here. Some of these servers reset every few hours, so your test build disappears. If you want to keep a design, check the schedule before you start. The busiest servers cluster at the top; if you want feedback on a base, join one of those. If you want quiet, the long tail works.

Player numbers on build servers tend to be lower than on survival servers, so a count of 10 here can be a full lobby for that server. Compare within the list rather than against the main browser.

The table is sorted by live players, highest first. You can re-sort by next wipe to see which servers reset soonest, but on many build servers a reset just clears the map, not your saved blueprints. Search matches names and addresses, so typing 'EU' finds servers with EU in the name, not every server hosted in Europe. For proper filters by region, group limit and wipe cycle, use the server browser.

Right now the list holds over 300 servers and fewer than half have anyone on. That is normal: build servers are tools, not destinations. The live counts are the best guide to which ones are active. If you want to test a question of your own, such as whether a Thursday wipe holds more players, the data on this page is a good place to start.
